Our founder, Betty, noticed a disturbing trend in the industry: many tax professionals were advertising themselves as strategists, making unrealistic promises about magically erasing taxes. This was not only dishonest but potentially financially catastrophic for their clients.

Hello, I am Elizabeth (Betty) Maxson, EA, CTRS, the founder of Taxpayer Representatives of Alaska Inc.

 

With a decade of experience as a speaker and tax advisor, I've dedicated my career to helping small business owners overcome their tax problems and leverage the federal tax code to save thousands in income taxes.

 

As an Enrolled Agent, I have earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Additionally, I am a candidate for admission to practice before the United States Tax Court as a non-attorney.

In 2017 and 2018, I won the "Best of the Valley" award, and in 2018, I was honored with the prestigious "Woman of Distinction" award.

 

I am currently working on my Masters in Accounting and plan to continue my professional career by completing my CPA licensure.

 

My practice focuses on implementing effective tax reduction strategies and representing taxpayers before the IRS. With my background in IRS auditing, I ensure that every strategy plan is backed by settled tax court opinions, providing you with peace of mind and reliable solutions.
